Central Texas Christian Elementary School’s mission is “to educate with the transforming truth of Christ, inspiring academic excellence, Godly character and integrity in life’s pursuits.” We believe that with this mission, an essential strong foundation will be inspired and successfully built.
Our students are challenged to think and communicate excellently, to live faithfully and to lead effectively. With the leadership of experienced and devoted teachers, our students are given the opportunity to discover and utilize God-given gifts and talents. Students experience God’s world through various learning styles and authentic hands-on opportunities. We strive to cultivate in each child a joy of learning that will last a lifetime. We additionally strive to combine that joy of learning with the joy of fellowship, and the joy of the Lord.
Beginning in first grade, students are offered opportunities to enhance their academic and fine arts education by trying out for a variety of academic competitions sponsored by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). Each activity is planned to impact the educational and spiritual growth of each student, encouraging them to be a testimony to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each event also seeks to provide opportunity for Christian fellowship and positive interaction between students and teachers of participating schools. The awards program for these competitions affirm the individual effort of each participant, while recognizing those whose skill and ability provide an inspiration and a challenge to excellence for all who participate. Activities include Spelling Bee, Speech Meet and Math Olympics.
President James Monroe made this statement: “The question to be asked at the end of an educational step is not, ‘What has the student learned?’ but, ‘What has the student become?’” Our desire is that students become faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
