SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Applying what students learn in our community.

Fostering Christian fellowship among families, encouraging unity across our school, and strengthening communication between parents and administration.

Teaching our students to have a servant’s heart

At CTCS, we believe service teaches what no classroom can fully capture: that your life has purpose beyond yourself. Here, we learn to do what Jesus calls us to do.

When our students graduate, we want them to carry this truth forward as a value they've lived from their first school years.

ELEMENTARY & INTERMEDIATE

Learning to see others

In our early years, service is about awareness and growing in compassion. Students experience the joy of giving and begin to understand their place in a larger community.

Kindergarten & 1st

Assemble care packages for local fire stations and nursing homes.

3rd & 4th Grade

Participate in seasonal service projects that connect them to real needs in Temple.

5th-6th Grade

Organize food drives and deliver canned goods to families in our community around Thanksgiving.
MIDDLE SCHOOL

Learning service as leadership

Our middle schoolers participate in one service day per quarter to serve directly in our community. Students work with organizations like Foster Love and other local nonprofits, learning what it means to serve with their hands and their hearts.
HIGH SCHOOL

Service as a skill for life

By the time they graduate, our students have internalized service as part of who they are. Our high school students are required to complete 104 service hours for graduation.

Our students are welcome to find approved ways to serve that fit their gifts, such as:

Community Service Days

Organized service projects off-campus, working with local nonprofits and organizations

Mentoring & Leadership

High schoolers lead middle school retreat days, model servant leadership, and mentor younger students

Athletic Team Service

Many of our sports teams organize service projects together—like delivering hygiene supplies to those who need it at Christmas or supporting local families in crisis

Shoebox Packing

Through Operation Christmas Child, high school students join middle schoolers in our annual effort to love children living in countries plagued by war, natural disaster, and poverty with critical items that support their health and wellbeing

Helping our students serve one another humbly in love.
